- The house is built on the quarry from which stones for the churches in Broumana were obtained. Its foundations are thus very solid.
- Additional flint stones removed from the quarry were chiseled by hand and used in the construction, façade and patios of the house.
- Construction was closely supervised by the engineers to insure that no corners were cut, particularly with regards to electrical and plumbing installations.
- The building comprises one two-storey villa, two apartments and one basement/cellar space.
- All interior doors have a Stahl frame, walls built around them to insure solidity and plumb.
- All the shutters are made of Katrani.
- All balconies and step garden areas have high railing installed to insure the safety of children.
- Plumbing pipes and sewer lines are made of rust proof material (forgot its proper name)
- The sewage is collected in two septic tanks, done the American way, and never need emptying.
- The tank for the heater fuel is in the basement, but can be filled from the street, again with rust-proof pipes.
- Next to the basement is an approximately 30 cubic meters well.
