Broummana   2,2 million $

  • 2 pieces of land, one is 1100m. with a building.

  • the other 735 m with no construction.

  • It is located between the Bakhos Building and the Damiani villa. next to the Church.

  • Both parcels of land are covered in pine trees.

  • The house was built in 1967, by professors from the AUB, each with its area of expertise (among them. Samir Khoury and a Pr. Maalouf) who owned a big construction firm.

  • The house is built on the quarry from which stones for the churches in Broumana were obtained. Its foundations are thus very solid.

  • Additional flint stones removed from the quarry were chiseled by hand and used in the construction, façade and patios of the house.

  • Construction was closely supervised by the engineers to insure that no corners were cut, particularly with regards to electrical and plumbing installations.

  • The building comprises one two-storey villa, two apartments and one basement/cellar space.

  • All interior doors have a Stahl frame, walls built around them to insure solidity and plumb.

  • All the shutters are made of Katrani.

  • All balconies and step garden areas have high railing installed to insure the safety of children.

  • Plumbing pipes and sewer lines are made of  rust proof material (forgot its proper name)

  • The sewage is collected in two septic tanks, done the American way, and never need emptying.

  • The tank for the heater fuel is in the basement, but can be filled from the street, again with rust-proof pipes.

  • Next to the basement is an approximately 30 cubic meters well.
